Every time there’s an update for iMovie I open it, look at the interface, have absolutely no clue as to how to work it and then attempt to make something with it in order to relearn how to use it… so here is my latest attempt to figure out iMovie… again… the 10.0.6 update.
About a month ago, I was asked to help out with the upcoming sermon series at my church. The next thing you know, I’m knee deep in creating a mini Jonah comic book… which you can have for free if you happen to find yourself in Fort Wayne, Indiana on a Sunday morning at The Pointe Church. My main character seemed to morph into Wolverine with a set of pork chop sideburns and he somehow ended up on a crab boat in the Bering Sea so… all in all… an extremely accurate portrayal of the Biblical story by me… especially that crab boat part!!
Derek Taylor, (the church design guy) directed this project, gave me a layout to follow and very clear art direction such as… “ugly vomit scene, the grosser the better” …YES!!
Derek then took the assorted art assets and put together this really great promotional trailer.
It’s March of 2014, so I guess it’s time to get my 2013 Sketchbook posted. This one doesn’t have the same production values as my other sketchbook videos… mainly because I shot it this afternoon with a phone in one hand and turning pages with the other… and I kinda ran out of pages so I just started throwing stuff on top of the sketchbook… and I only did one take… but I did spend a whopping 5 minutes shooting it and another half an hour trying to figure out how the new iMovie interface works, so it’s got all that going for it. I hope you enjoy this little movie and appreciate all the minutes and minutes of thought and hard work that went into the making of this possible academy award winning film.
