…it was three in the morning, I couldn’t sleep, I wandered into my studio and the next thing I knew I had created a Strava Bicycle Club that I called Sprocket Weasels and it had a picture of a fox in a bowler hat? …maybe I was still asleep? …well, if you bike, run, walk or hike and want to keep track of your progress STRAVA is a pretty good app to use… and its free (unless you choose to upgrade it) so feel free to join The Sprocket Weasel Bicycle Club because thats free, too, and the nice thing about Sprocket Weasel Bike Club is you don’t even need to own a bike to join… we’ll take anybody.
I was on a diet, but I donut care anymore because the Tour De Donut is right around the corner!!
What if I told you there was a bicycle race where your ability to eat donuts was just as important as your ability to ride a bike fast? This summer in Troy, Ohio the Tour De Donut will take place. It is a timed ride and FIVE MINUTES will be DEDUCTED from your elapsed time for EVERY DONUT YOU EAT! I’m headed to Krispy Kreme right now so I can start training for this ride immediately!
I’ve been riding my bike a lot this summer and using an app that I really like called STRAVA. It keeps track of your mileage, the routes you ride, satellite maps, your other biker friends, all kinds of stuff. STRAVA keeps everything recorded for you on your own little blog, and, oh yeh… IT’S FREE! Being the hard-core cyclist that I am, I’m always looking for a reason to stop peddling and get off that bike seat, so I tend to take a lot of pictures on my rides and post them on my STRAVA page…. so if you’re curious about what my part of the world looks like, here you go…
