Theory vs Reality: Finished

Archer1

Last week I showed a spare time project I started on a Saturday. I showed my progress on it a few days later. One thing I have learned over the years… if I don’t finish these little side projects quick, I lose interest and they never get done… so for better or for worse, here is my completed, semi-moveable archer.

  1. Those arrows look like they could “whoop a nasty hurtin” on someone. This guy is AWESOME!

  2. Great work Dennis!. I know what you mean by working on thigs quickly…. could that be ADD setting in? For me I think so… oh hey look it’s a tiger!
Thanks for the updates on your blog… very inspiring indeed!
Were you using sculpy for the head on this gnome? (if he is an average gnome does that make him gnomal?)

    • …Super Sculpey on the head. A great modeling compound, and the nice thing about it is it’s already a flesh tone, so add a little dark wash to it at the end and you’re done.
