There’s an old John Wayne movie called Sands Of Iwo Jima where Sgt. Stryker says, ”…life is tough, but it’s tougher if you’re stupid”. I kinda like that…
…hmmm, good question. I have been watching KickStarter from the start, the front end looks great but I’m not exactly sure how the backend of that thing works. Once you get your funding and print a couple of palettes of books, …do you store them in your spare bedroom? …do you have to individually send premiums to everyone that supported you? …I have a project or two that I would like to give it a try on, but I don’t go to trade shows and I don’t know how I would move palettes of books once they arrive at my house.
Yeah, those are great questions. Yeah, one of the downsides is storing, managing, and eventually selling all of those extra leftover copies. Can be profitable but also a lot of work. Stephen Silver has a great webinar on self-publishing over at Schoolism.com. It answered a lot of my questions and gave me the gumption to want to try this. I’ll let you know how it goes. 🙂
Great illo! John Wayne is the best.
Hi Cedric! I like that new KickStarter campaign you have going!
Thanks very much! Overall the Pose Drawing Sparkbook is getting great responses. Will we ever see a Kickstarter from Dennis Jones? 🙂

Keep me in the loop, Cedric. I’d like to know how your experience with this goes.
Will do!
